Justice & Mission Work
Course Description
This material from the curriculum series DOING JUSTICE will explore the topic of racism. The goal is to discern God’s call to us and to the church in our response to racism by deepening our understanding of the biblical, theological, and sociological perspectives that are held by others. Several different Christian responses will be explored, which may include language, ideas, and images that trigger strong emotions or are even offensive. This may be a difficult journey, but by learning to understand why people hold certain positions, we will grow in wisdom and insight toward God’s will regarding the complex issue of racism.
Content contributors include Jeff Liou, Joy Johnson, Asbury Jones, Debbie Salinger, Michael Stafford, Tyler Burns, Hak Joon Lee, Tim Dearborn, and Jennifer Ackerman.
