This material from the DOING JUSTICE series will set the groundwork for a conversation about income inequality in America and around the world. You will reflect on what you’re bringing to this topic from your own personal experience, learn some key facts and statistics, and see three common responses from churches. You will be able to evaluate and compare the responses in light of the information brought forth. This may be a difficult journey, but by learning to understand why people hold certain positions, we will grow in wisdom and insight toward God’s will regarding the complex issue of income inequality.
