This material from the DOING JUSTICE series will set the groundwork for a conversation about immigration. You will reflect on what you’re bringing to this topic from your own personal experience, learn some key terms, and consider both the global realities and the United States’ contexts of immigration. Several different Christian responses will be explored, which may include language, ideas, and images that trigger strong emotions or are even offensive. This may be a difficult journey, but by learning to understand why people hold certain positions, we will grow in wisdom and insight toward God’s will regarding the complex issue of immigration.
