Topics:
Church and Ministry Leadership
Course Description
Research suggests that most people you interact with—nearly 70% worldwide— have experienced some form of trauma, including the individuals you serve in ministry. Whether you’re preaching, leading a small group, or directing a meal outreach program, it is essential to bring trauma-informed care to every area of ministry. By taking this course, you’ll apply what you’ve learned about trauma and become a champion for practical change and holistic discipleship within your congregation. You’ll learn to develop, analyze, and utilize a trauma-informed framework and leadership model to help your church serve those under your care more effectively.
This course builds directly on the fundamental aspects of trauma you learned in Foundations of Trauma Ministry and is the recommended fourth course in the Certificate of Emotional Health in Ministry.
Please note: if you have prior knowledge about the fundamentals and psychological impact of trauma, you can skip Course 3 and go directly into this course.
